  1. Turmeric, Mango, Ginger and Lime Nector

Ingredients

  • 1kg of fresh ripe Mango, diced
  • 4 peeled and chopped Oranges
  • 1 whole line diced
  • 30g of fresh Turmeric pulp
  • 25g of fresh Ginger Pulp
  • Some young Coconut water to taste

Method

Place everything except the coconut water in your food processor and blend them until smooth

Add enough coconut water to make it easy to drink and tastes wonderful

 

  1. Plum Nector

Chose fully ripe dark plums like Queen Garnet as they pack the most antioxidants of any fruit

Ingredients

  • 1kg of fresh ripe Plums
  • 2 liters of Water
  • ¼ of a cup of organic Maple Syrup, or to taste

Method

  • Wash the plums and slice them into quarters and remove the stone
  • Place the plums in a saucepan with the water
  • Bring to the boil, then simmer slowly for 2.5 hours (this will extract all the flavors)
  • Allow to cool, then puree them
  • Pass through a colander or fine sieve
  • Place in a jar and add the maple syrup and stir well
  • Chill and serve

 

  1. Passion Fruit Nector

Use large passion fruit that feels heavy with wrinkled skin just cut them into quarters and use them whole

Ingredients

  • 1kg of ripe Passion Fruit
  • 8 cups of Fresh Water
  • Sugar to taste

Method

  • Place the cut passion fruit in a saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes or until soft
  • Allow to cool, then process everything until smooth
  • Pass through a fine sieve and sugar to taste and refrigerate
  • Add more water if necessary

 

  1. Pear Nector

Pears only stay perfectly ripe for a short time, so making pear nector helps preserve their wonderful taste long after the season is over. Some people like the taste of a few cloves added

Ingredients

  • 1kg of ripe Pears
  • ¼ of a cup of fresh water

Method

  • Wash the pears an then slice them into cubes
  • Place in a heavy bottomed saucepan put on the lid and bring the water to the boil
  • Reduce the heat to a low simmer and cook until only just tender
  • Allow to cool, then remove the cloves if using and blend until smooth
  • Pass through a fine strainer or squeeze in cheesecloth
  • You may need to thin the puree with cold water to drink it and add a sweetener or lime juice to taste

 

  1. Peach Nector

Sweet Juicy peaches make a lovely nector, start with the best fresh ripe peaches that are slightly soft to the touch

Ingredients

  • of very ripe Peaches

Method

  • Place some water to boil and then using tongs, dip the peaches in the boiling water for a few seconds. This will cause the skin to fall off. Then place the hot peach into iced water to stop any cooking action
  • Slice the peaches and remove the stone and place them in your food processor and puree them
  • Strain and place in a food safe container and chill before serving

 

  1. Mango Nector

Mangoes are called the king of fruit for their nutritional value and delightful taste, they make excellent nector

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of fresh ripe Mango
  • Raw Honey to taste

Method

  • Slice the mango and remove the stone
  • Remove the flesh of the mango using a spoon the slice to fit in your food processor and puree
  • Pass through a sieve and put in a food safe container
  • Add honey to taste if needed or a little lime juice
  • Serve chilled
